Who we are
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the developer of WinDeck (“we,” “us,” “our”). They govern your access to and use of WinDeck’s websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”). Dodo Payments sells WinDeck on our behalf as its reseller and merchant of record. Contact us at vellannadarajan@yahoo.com.
Agreeing to these terms
By buying, installing, or using WinDeck, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use WinDeck. If you buy WinDeck for a business, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.
Your licence
Buying WinDeck gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on up to two Windows PCs at the same time, for as long as you like, including every future update. WinDeck is licensed to you, not sold; we keep all rights in it that these terms do not give you, and the WinDeck name, logo, and design belong to us. You can’t resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute WinDeck or its installer.
Activating your licence
Your licence key activates WinDeck on a PC, which needs an internet connection. Each activated PC uses one of your key’s two activations. To move WinDeck to another PC, or before you sell, give away, or replace a PC, open Settings → Licence on that PC and choose Deactivate this PC. That needs an internet connection and frees the activation for another PC. Uninstalling WinDeck while online frees it too. If a PC is lost, broken, or reset before you could deactivate it, contact us and we will free its activation.
After activating, WinDeck checks your licence with Dodo Payments when your PC is online. It keeps working for up to 30 days without a connection; after that, it asks you to connect so it can check again. Your data stays on your PC meanwhile.
Keep your licence key private: anyone who has it can use your activations. We may disable a key that was refunded, charged back, bought fraudulently, or shared publicly; WinDeck then stops working with that key.
Price, payment, and tax
WinDeck costs $15 USD, paid once, plus any tax that applies where you live. Dodo Payments takes the payment, charges the tax, and emails your licence key and download link; its own terms also apply to the purchase. Your card statement shows Dodo Payments. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. We may change the price for future buyers; that never affects a licence you already bought.
Refunds
If WinDeck isn’t for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund. No questions asked. Open Settings → Send feedback in WinDeck and choose Other, or email vellannadarajan@yahoo.com. After 14 days, we still refund where the law requires it, for example if WinDeck does not work as described. A refunded licence key stops working. Please ask us before disputing a payment with your bank; we will help.
Using WinDeck fairly
You agree not to:
- share, publish, sell, or rent your licence key, the installer, or your download link;
- get around WinDeck’s licence checks, or help others do so;
- copy, modify, or reverse engineer WinDeck;
- attack, probe, or overload our website or licence checks, or get around their limits;
- use WinDeck to break the law, or to use a connected service in a way its own terms don’t allow.
WinDeck includes open-source software under its own licences, listed in the app under Settings → Open-source licences. Those licences give you their own rights over those parts.
Other services and content
Some features show content from, or connect to, other services: news publishers, price providers, and the stores, GitHub, and Vercel accounts you connect with your own keys. Their content belongs to them, their terms apply to your use of them, and they may change or stop at any time; we are not responsible for them. You are responsible for the keys you add and for keeping them secure.
Prices in Markets are indicative and may be delayed, and Markets, Sales, and Finance are for information only. Nothing in WinDeck is financial advice.
Availability and changes
Our website, updates, licence checks, news sources, and price feeds depend on the internet and on other providers, so they may sometimes be slow or unavailable, and emails from us may be delayed. A feature that depends on another service may change or stop working if that service changes or ends.
Your data
Your data stays on your PC, and you are responsible for it. Use Settings → Backup to keep a copy. Uninstalling WinDeck deletes its data from that PC. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data; where it and these terms differ about personal data, the privacy policy applies.
You are responsible for personal data about other people that you bring into WinDeck, such as customer names and emails that Sales shows from your store accounts. Use it lawfully and only for your own business.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve WinDeck, without owing you anything for them.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make WinDeck reliable, but we provide it as it is, without promising it will be free of errors or always available, to the extent the law allows. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, or data, or business interruption, and our total liability to you for anything relating to WinDeck is limited to the amount you paid for it, whether the claim is in contract, negligence, or otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights that consumer law where you live gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
Ending the licence
You can stop using WinDeck at any time. If you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing your licence key publicly, your licence ends and we may disable your key. If the licence ends, the parts of these terms meant to continue still apply, such as the limits on liability and the law and disputes section.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there. Please contact us first; most problems can be solved by email.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when WinDeck or how we sell it changes. The version on this page, with the date at the top, applies to purchases made from that date. Changes never take away the licence you already bought.
Contact
Send questions, requests, or concerns about these terms to vellannadarajan@yahoo.com.
Please tell us enough to understand your request and find your purchase, such as the email address you bought WinDeck with or your order number, so we can reply properly. Never send your licence key.
