What is WinDeck?
A desktop app for Windows that brings tasks, habits, notes, calendar, focus sessions, your money, news, and a live view of your PC into one window. Open it from anywhere with Ctrl + Space.
What do I need?
A 64-bit PC with Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11, and an internet connection to activate WinDeck the first time.
How much does it cost?
WinDeck costs $15 USD plus local tax, paid once. There is no subscription, and every future update is included.
Why does my card statement say Dodo Payments?
Dodo Payments is WinDeck’s reseller (the merchant of record): it takes the payment, handles sales tax, and emails your licence key and download link. That email comes from Dodo Payments too.
I lost my licence key or download. What now?
Sign in to the Dodo customer portal with the email you bought with. Your key, a fresh download link, and your receipt are there. The Download page links to it.
Can I use it on more than one PC?
Yes. Each licence key works on two Windows PCs at once. To move it, choose Deactivate this PC in Settings on the old one. If an old PC broke before you could, contact us at the email address in our terms and we will free it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. WinDeck checks its licence when your PC is online, and keeps working for up to 30 days without a connection. News, Markets, Sales, and Dev Hub need the internet.
Where does my data live?
On your PC. Notes, clipboard items, Finance, and the keys you add for connected accounts are encrypted. Settings → Backup saves everything to one password-protected file that you can restore on this or another PC.
Does WinDeck use analytics?
No. WinDeck has no analytics, tracking, or advertising. The privacy policy lists everything it sends online and why.
What is the refund policy?
If WinDeck isn’t for you, open Settings → Send feedback in WinDeck and choose Other, or contact us at the email address in our terms, within 14 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked. After a refund, the licence key stops working.
What happens if I uninstall WinDeck?
Uninstalling deletes all of WinDeck’s data from that PC and, when online, frees the PC from your key. The uninstaller warns you first, so you can save a backup in Settings → Backup. Updates never delete anything.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is WinDeck safe?
Yes. WinDeck is new and its installer isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows shows this warning and lists the publisher as unknown. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Only run the installer from your Dodo Payments email or the customer portal. Every WinDeck update is checked against our own signature before it installs.
Windows says Smart App Control blocked WinDeck.
Some Windows 11 PCs have Smart App Control turned on, which blocks apps that aren’t code-signed and can’t make an exception for one app. On those PCs, WinDeck runs only if Smart App Control is turned off (Windows Security, then App & browser control). Microsoft explains the setting. If you’d rather keep it on, contact us at the email address in our terms within 14 days for a full refund.
Can WinDeck run in the background?
Yes, if you want it to. In Settings, choose whether it starts with Windows, keeps running in the system tray when you close the window, and tracks screen time.
How do I get help?
In WinDeck, open Settings → Send feedback to report a bug or share an idea, with an optional diagnostic report. Or contact us at the email address in our terms. The diagnostic report contains no notes, tasks, or keys.
